ATSIMA is working on a pilot project funded by the Toyota Community Trust that will develop a teacher’s resource one part for primary years and one part for high schools. There will be two elements to each part: a unit of learning incorporating Prof. Chris Matthews’ Goompi Model, and content from the revised Australian Curriculum: Mathematics. Each will have an accompanying problem solving task for students. ATSIMA is working with two Victorian schools – Heathmont College and Brookside College. Dr Caty Morris is the Project Lead.
