About Us

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mathematics Alliance (ATSIMA) is a national, Indigenous-led charity established in 2015. It is the only organisation in Australia solely dedicated to transforming the way mathematics is taught and learned by embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Histories and Cultures.

ATSIMA is driving bold, large-scale reform in mathematics education. Our work is focused on ensuring that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learners succeed in mathematics.

Improving mathematics outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learners requires urgent, sustained action. ATSIMA is leading this change.

Our vision is clear: all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learners will be successful in mathematics.
